Low Dosage Methodology in Herbal Medicine
Certificate Course – Introduction Level 1 Foundational Studies

It provides a foundational study of the art, science, principles, and practice of low and drop-dose herbal medicine. Can be taken as a stand-alone course or prepare herbalists for a deeper study in Person-Specific Dosing presented Level 2 Advanced course.

Course Overview and Requirements

This course explores the theory, philosophy, and application of Low/Drop Dosage Methodology in Herbal Medicine, with emphasis on international dosing traditions, environmental sustainability, and person-specific herbal practice. The curriculum integrates historical research, cross-cultural dosing philosophies, scientific literature, and introductory case-based learning.

This is a structured, tutor-led and interactive 8-week online course designed to provide guided learning, student interaction and practical application throughout the programme. Students progress through a new module each week, with coursework, weekly tasks and ongoing participation required.

This is not a self-paced course. Students are expected to actively engage with the tutor, course material and other students throughout the 8 weeks.

This is a tutor led intensive course, and weekly deadlines and interaction needs to be met.

• The course includes Three live Zoom sessions with your fellow students — one at the beginning (get to know one another) and one at the end (share a case).
• Each week, you’ll receive recorded video classes (with herbal practitioners) and practical tasks and quizes, to complete, guiding you step-by-step through the theory and application of low dosage herbal medicine.
• Each week, you will interact in real time written Chat Group Event with tutor and fellow students.

• Alongside the video lessons, you’ll have access to supporting study materials, herb profiles, and supplementary resources, including exclusive interview and insights from Rixt, all designed to deepen your understanding and practical skills.

• Rixt, will also be available in our chat group for a few hours one day each week to offer interactive support, answer questions, and provide additional guidance as you progress.
